Ali Ross

MA, LPC, NCC, SAC, ACS

Owner/Founder of Live Laugh Love Counseling LLC.

Hi, I’m Ali—welcome. Are you looking for a space where you can be fully yourself and feel truly heard? My approach is warm, compassionate, and honest. I’ll help guide you toward deeper insight and support you in taking steps to create lasting change. Nothing is off-limits—we can explore it all together. I work with children, teens, and adults, and I bring experience from schools, outpatient, and intensive settings. Whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, or identity, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence. Let’s do the work together—your story matters.

During my career, I have worked in outpatient mental health with children, teens and adults and their families and currently, I am working as a school-based clinician with elementary-aged children. Here I support students with various issues including attentional difficulties, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns.

I will always meet you where you are and determine what type of therapeutic approach will be best suited for you. It’s not one size fits all, and I realize that! My goal is to help inspire clients to be their best selves. You are not alone; we are in this together! Let’s put in the work to find the tools that will lead YOU to success and happiness.

Samail Akhtar

MS, NCC, LAC

Counselor at Live Laugh Love Counseling LLC.

Hi! I'm Samail and navigating life’s challenges—whether it's anxiety, emotional numbness, or overwhelming thoughts—can feel isolating. But you don’t have to go through it alone. My goal as a therapist is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to heal and grow.

Born and raised in India, I witnessed firsthand the stigma surrounding mental health. My personal experience with the transformative power of therapy inspired my journey to become a mental health professional and break down the shame often attached to seeking help. Moving to a different country during the pandemic gave me a deeper understanding of perspective, patience, and the importance of support during life transitions.

I hold a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling (Clinical Mental Health Counseling). As a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I use evidence-based approaches to help clients overcome challenges and interrupt unhelpful cycles.

My diverse experiences—working in Mumbai, Kentucky, and New Jersey across a range of care settings—have enriched my understanding of how mental health struggles manifest in different cultural and personal contexts. I currently work in a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program, where I lead both individual and group counseling sessions.

Whether you’re struggling with difficult emotions or navigating a major life transition, I’m here to help you help yourself. Together, we’ll build a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore life’s complexities and reshape your path in a way that fosters lasting personal growth. Supporting you through both the challenges and the joys of life is a privilege I hold with deep gratitude.
